Property Tax Bill - 2 days after the election.

Strange how that works, no? Why didn't they send it out the week before the election?

Here it came out well before the election. The dwelling and property values went down, but the taxes went up.

Mine went up $200.00 and already paid it, and the check has cleared. It would have bought a nice gun!

The county did the same thing to me, raised my bill & devalued the property. I won't even let them on the property to see anything as I know they will raise the bill again.

You never really own your property free & clear. Once the mortgage is paid off, the charges continue & go up every year. If you don't pay the fees, they take your land & sell it to someone else for cheap.......................

my county raised the valuations which i fully understand. then they turned around and lowered the rates to a point it was almost a net zero gain. gotta love a republican county.

Assessment jumped almost 50k this year. Sorry SOB's overpaying for houses in this neighborhood killed me, tax bill nearly doubled.
Went from just under $700 to just over $1350.
Always get ours between the 6th and 15th, and due by Dec 31st.

Taxes and insurance are driving older folks out of their homes and preventing some from buying , down here a tax, insurance monthly bill could very well be over $1,,500.
