It was the longest State of the Union Speech in US History, but it felt like the shortest. I was glued to every word. He brilliantly touted the past year's accomplishments, described the way forward, and blasted the opposition. I especially liked him handing out Medals Of Honor.

Here's something else that dawned on me during the speech: The Republican bench is deep. There's no shortage of great people: Rubio, Hegseth, Vance, Kennedy, etc. You may not agree with everything these folks do, but you gotta admit Trump picked a far better staff this time around than last time. The days of appointing family members, RINOs, and entrenched bureaucrats to key positions is over.

Someone else mentioned on another forum that the best line of the evening was from Senator Kennedy. As Trump was exiting the room they shook hands and he commented "Great speech. Take the rest of the day off!"
