Mojtaba Khamenei, son of slain ayatollah, named Iran’s supreme leader

Iran has named Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the former Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as its supreme leader — a move that suggests a push for stability as the Islamic Republic navigates the most significant threat to its survival in its nearly 50 years.

Iranian state media on Sunday announced Mojtaba Khamenei as the pick to lead Iran, just over a week after his father’s death in U.S.-Israeli strikes that also killed dozens of top figures in the regime.

The 56-year-old Shia cleric had long been seen as one of a number of potential successors to Ali Khamenei, despite never having held government office.

For how long? Mossad and CIA will be hunting him like a hawk, the moment his head shows up boom, he's gone.

                Matter of time

The son of Iran’s slain Ayatollah Ali Khamenei survived an assassination attempt made by Israel during the devastating launch of Lion’s Roar military operation Feb. 28, which occurred in tandem with the US’s Operation Epic Fury, Times of Israel reported on Saturday.

I saw where the new eyeahtollah was being pimped on Iran tv. He was not there in person. He was represented by/as a hastly taped together cardboard cutout. And that "he was just fine" and "how much he hated the USA and the dirty stinking juden, etc." Baghdad Bob could take a lesson here in pure unadulterated bullshit. Reminds of the time the Iranians posted images of their "new supersonic home grown jet stealth fighter." It was on you tube. There is their "fighter" and some Iranian guy was pimping its ability to kill USAF fighters with great undetected ease. He was walking on its wing and the damn thing almost tipped over. It was just another fake piece of cardboard and plywood. Don't present day jet fighters weigh a bunch of tons? WTF I remember thinking.
