about 30 years ago when males weathering earrings became a fad I heard one of mine talk about it...I pulled a machete and told him,"You get an earring and I'll cut your fucking ear off". They never did, they believed I could do it.

Yep used to have that one all the time. That dream mostly stopped when I started flying again.

My dad pulled out his Buck knife. Didn't matter, I always figured dudes with earrings were fags, anyway - even if some of them were pirates.

My oldest never went for any of that but my other one, he'd do anything to attract chicks back in the day.

I guess it's a common fear for all pilots. I knew a guy who got killed trying to land on a street and hit the wires, it was down in Colombia on his twin Comanche ferrying a famous singer and declared an emergency, at 2 am the local airport didn't want to deal with it so they turned rwy lights off and he went for a road.

Small plane went down in Albuquerque on a golf course just the other day. One dead. Not sure if it was the pilot or passenger.
