I imagine a few of you guys will recall him. He was a veteran of the US Navy and received an honorable discharge around 1964. RIP

Interesting is the absence of overweight people back in those days. Guess maybe pre computers everyone was still out and about being active.

44044 I might have but one has to understand their was so many frigging people you could not get near the stage. Everyone was super nice and well behaved but I would have had to step on people to get near that stage A.O.. Funny as all hell when they made announcements. "Don't eat the yellow acid its bad."
Guys were getting up around us screaming like they just stepped in a bear trap...

Yes and no bud.. Long time ago and I am trying to remember days and times. We got their a few days early so no traffic coming in and we used a road one above where everyone was jammed up later coming and going. People did not know it was their so back and forth to the store no problem. We camped behind the stage where the pond you see pictures of was with everyone swimming. It was super great. Then uh oh?
Saturday afternoon I think? came the rain and it was a disaster. Everyone soaking wet mud cool weather and sadly a total mess. We left Sunday morning early got out before the exiting traffic started. Just talked to my bud Kevin from those days and he has pictures. I should tell him to send some I will be the guy with short military hair...
My DEROS from Nam was early August 69' so next stop Woodstock. Slight culture change..

It would’ve been a once in a lifetime experience

But alas I was a little to young to attend

I turned 14 in September of 1969…
