I saw a few comments in the power loss thread about coffee so here is my question. How do you make your coffee and what coffee do you buy? My drip machine recently crapped out so I ordered a Bonavita machine. While awaiting its delivery I am using a Presto percolator that I have from years ago. I usually have bought Kirkland ground coffee at Costco, medium roast and grind. Its supposedly starbux. Recently I bought some Camerons columbian beans and busted out the burr grinder. Pretty good cup of joe in the perc.

The wife buys Kirlkand French Roast beans at COSTCO. We use a small grinder on them and make the java in a Cuisinart drip maker.
Most coffee makers seem to crap out after 5 years or so. We've had Krups, Braun, Cusinart, Mr Coffee, etc etc. Gotta have my morning Joe!Comment

I guess grinding the coffee beans are the way to go but I am in to much of a rush to take the time to grind the damn things. Best coffee I ever had was in a Drs. waiting room. Damn it was good but the stupid chicks at the desk said it was subbed out by some company and they did not know anything about it.
I am trying to find an ortho Dr. now and I think the chicks that answer the phone in their office have to pass a total mo-ron test to be hired.😂 2Comment

I am using a Faberware percolator coffee pot that the 2nd wife left here after we got divorced. She bought it at a yard sale for $5 probably 20+ years ago & it always has worked till the heating element let go. I resoldered the connections & it has continued to work faithfully since then.
Coffee used, Hills Brothers, Maxwell House or what ever I buy @ the time as long as its good coffee. Grind my own, no way in the morning, would probably grind off a finger.Comment

I generally buy the Maxwell house in the big blue plastic tubs for my morning fix. I also have Black Rifles "AK47 blend" a couple pounds of Jamaican Blue Mountain, Dunking Donuts coffee, and Starbucks coffee. I recently purchased a Krupp Espresso maker and an Arabic blend of coffee for use in it. I use a mr. Coffee brewer for big batches. I use a kitchen aid for 12oz cups of Joe and use a refill able cup in it. I have a stovetop brewer that I've had for @40years...many times on a campfire. AND a big jar of Maxwell house instant...for fast use. I can grind my own beans which I do as needed for some brands like the blue mountain. With no lights and having to go outside where my gas grill is sitting...in the snow all covered up. I just went without. I'm not real steady on just one foot....yet.☕ 1Comment

I'm spoiled, I like fresh coffee so we have a Keurig, wife likes one coffee, I like another, for espresso I have a Breville Cafe Roma. They both get plenty of use. If the power goes out the old trusty Moka maker goes on the burner.
Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.👍 1Comment

I wanted to love Keurig. I've had 3 different machines, 1 Keurig and 2 different brands. They all had problems with the pods backing up and rupturing and making a mess. Tried all different pods and they all did it. Yes I cleaned the needles.Comment
