A couple years ago, someone drove an ORV up the driveway to my off-grid cabin and stole stuff I had laying around totaling maybe around $200. Besides frequent visits and making it look used, here are some things I did:
1. Built a large, vehicle-proof fence and gate using 4x4s and old horse fence panels.
2. Installed a fake security camera decoy on the cabin itself.
3. I went to the courthouse, obtained a physical address for my acreage and placed a mailbox out by the road, making it look like a permanent residence.
4. Posted a couple "beware of dog" signs.
Good tips thank you.. Take a flat board and put nails or screws penetrating through it. Now place it strategically where someone will be driving up your driveway. They were stealing my buddies firewood outside his cabin and 4 flat tires later they were still waiting for a tow truck when he drove up later.
L.O.s got their before the tow they busted them towed their truck and you can bet big bucks and an arrest later they ain't going back.
