How many here used to read Soldier of Fortune magazine,

I used to subscribe to it. I would have considered doing that if I wasnt married and had children.

Last evening i was reading a couple of the magazines I still have.
We have met the enemy and he is us.

I have an old wooden rocket crate full of them from the early 80's, late 70's.

I started reading them in the grocery store when my parents couldn't trust me home alone on Friday nights when they went grocery shopping. I was reading those over the other outdoors and gun magazines of the time.

I read SOF back in the 70's when I was in my early 20's. The big topic back then was the war in Rhodesia and the Russian war in Afghanistan. Some really interesting articles and staff writers at that time. Robert K Brown was the editor & founder.

I had a subscription for years. Lots of good gun info. As I was in school with a fulltime class lecture and lab schedule, i had no time for pleasure reading. All my magazine subs expired. It was textbooks period.
