Ah geez, We will be in the 4th of July parade at the island.

Wife, son, daughter all agreed to enter the parade featuring patriotic music in the golf cart. The darned thing has a very powerful soundbar that's bluetooth operated. Came like that from the factory, sort of a niqqer boom-boom box. Daughter already bought flags and things to put in the cart. I like peace, quiet and tranquility, why are they doing this to me?

They're doing it to you, BECAUSE you like peace, quiet, and tranquility.
My daughter would do the same thing to me

I don't enjoy attracting attention, I don't like loud noisy places and I hate crowds. Even though summer time in Sanibel is a slow season but people go for the Fourth of July festivities, it's an all day long thing, the only big grocery store left in town grilling hot dogs on the parking lot, lots of stuff for little ones to do at the activities center, a treasure hunt, closing by 9 PM with fireworks by the causeway.

One of my favorite island celebrations is the Sanibel 4th of July Parade! Here's a glimpse at the Sanibel community pride in action.

Wow that looks super cool super fun Fred I wish I was their buddy.. One of the worst days of my youth I still have nightmares about. I went to our local Easter egg hunt and they told me to get lost I was to old for that event. Damn I was heartbroken..

I finally gave away the 40 pounds of black powder to a guy with two cannons. 4th at his place, her has his own runway. Has enough land to sell lots on his planned fly in subdivision

4th of July here I go outside at night with my military helmet on. Population of this small swamp town is around 1,400 swampers and gun ownership is probably more than the weapons budget allocation for the U.S. Army.. About sundown whole families go outside to test that new gun that they have not ever fired.
It sounds like the battle of the Bulge. Mexicans here all go full auto I'm sure they keep their tax stamps handy..

4th of July isn't as much fun for me as it used to be when the kids were still at home. I always tried to make it special for them. Now? I'd rather stay inside in front of my little window a/c unit. Maybe I'll take the pup to the park to get her used to being around people. We are trying to get her so she can undergo service dog training. Can't do that if she's skittish around crowds.

40lbs?.....he can do the 1812 overture with that and still do some damage. How much is he selling that land for? is it a registered airfield? send me the location, I'll look it up

OK, the time to get in in those airfields is when they get started, Seen it happen time and time again. My brother got in the one at Wellington, West Palm Beach\, I should have bought the one next to him but I declined, $89K he paid, cost him about $200K to build, now it's worth about $4M. Nice investment for my grandchildren.

He’s been there 30 years. There are houses going up not sure if those are on his place or not.

When I first moved in my brother found the air field and asked about.
