Trump says Elon Musk will head a new ‘Department of Government Efficiency’

President-elect Donald Trump named tech billionaire Elon Musk and conservative activist Vivek Ramaswamy on Tuesday to head up a new Department of Government Efficiency, fulfilling a campaign pledge to give Musk sweeping oversight of government spending.

Trump said in a statement on to social media that the department will help "dismantle Government Bureaucracy" and slash excess regulations. The name of the agency, DOGE for short, is a reference to a meme and a cryptocurrency associated with Musk.

"This will send shockwaves through the system, and anyone involved in Government waste, which is a lot of people!" Musk said in the statement released by the transition team.

I believe Elon is on a personal mission of revenge against those responsible for doing that to his son, and is going scorched earth - taking them out from the top down. What a better way to do it?

There are many departments that need to be eliminated; education, agriculture, commerce, labor, health and human services, energy, EPA, and a bunch of advisors.

They are all bloat that cause problems for Mericans and businesses.

My oldest who is a school system very big boss says the dept of education is needed otherwise it will be chaotic with every state doing their own thing and that may not be a good thing for kids.

Well however we want to look at it GARANDNUT its a start on attacking govt. waste. I can't quite remember the agency that is already in place to keep track of govt. waste and foolish spending? They print a report each year of the most foolish waste and give an award..
If you own a company and have to hire someone to find the leaks that are bleeding the company and they find them? Spend a few to save a lot $$?
