WASHINGTON – States can ban transgender women and girls from competing on female sports teams, the Supreme Court ruled June 30 in addressing a major cultural and political flashpoint before adjourning for the summer.

The decision is another setback for the LGBTQ+ community from the high court, which has issued a series of recent rulings against transgender Americans.

It's very important to girls who have worked hard to get a sport scolarship only to have a male take the scolarship from them. And it's one more thing that is erodin our society.
