It was really nasty around 6 PM EDST . My Recessed lights were flicking independently from one another, I come to the computer now and my ethernet switcher got fried, a good line goes in, 5 volts go in but no activity, wifi from the modem and the eero network is fine though. but desktops and printer are on wifi. If that's all that went bad I'm lucky, $16 and I'm done. AC is fine, refrigerators are fine microwave seems to be OK. One hit must have been half a block from me.

no, I heard some rumble out in the distance today but nothing local as of yet. Still waiting on my switcher from Amazon, I need to scan a few pictures and my printer is off line. Tey want to have a good bye party for my son at the school board and wanted some pictures, I didn't go digital until 2005 so I'm searching through thousands and thousands of pictures, even found some of my great-grandfather and great grandmother who was not married to him but gave him four kids, his legal wife was the daughter of another big Spanish businessman 1n late 1800's. Some mystery there I have not been able to unravel but I have seen some newspaper articles about them. Everybody is dead so I can't ask questions anymore. Some weird shit in my family and I'm not going to Cuba to try to get court or church records.

We have had a lot of rain and my tomatoes are barely producing. I don't know if it is the variety or what but I have not had a good crop of tomatoes in years. It used to be I would get so many they would rot on the countertop before I could eat them.

May be too hot for them. Down here I cannot plant them until late September. Last year (this year) I had a great crop, we didn't buy tomatoes for a long time. I have two Hawaiian pineapple plants growing in two pots, it may be another year before they give me pineapples. Have over 60 growing in the island. We went to the farmer's market there and talked to the people that sell them, and got the top crowns for free, each one will produce one plant and after bearing fruit two offspring will come from the sides, just like a regular Bromeliad. I have three coffee trees my daughter got me for Christmas, they are doing well, Had to cover them up, sun is too hot lately. Have an avocado tree still in a pot, waiting for it to grow before moving it to the island, somebody gave my wife a yellow Guava tree, that's going there too. We have a large double lot there so there is plenty of room. We have coconut and bananas and red dragon fruit. My lemon tree died, though.

The soil up here is pretty acidic .

My problem at the island is that it's been through two consecutive floods during hurricanes, one with an eight foot surge, the next one was about four, so there is a lot of salt in the soil, which is sand., when I plant something I buy a couple bags of potting soil, dig a big home and fill it up with good stuff, here is Miami is not as bad but if you go down a foot or so is also sand. Florida is but a large sandbar sticking out of the mainlnd.
