Almost killed at work

Ok, maybe I exaggerated a lil' bit,
But it was way too close.
Thought my job was safer now that I'm not working on ATMs anymore, but obviously not.
Got outta my van at the bank the other day, and while I was grabbing tools and parts out of my side door I heard a half dozen rapid fire shots from a 9mm ring out in close proximity. A quick scan of the area, did not reveal anything immediately. I thought to myself that it sounded like they came from the store front nextdoor that faced away from me and I couldn't see.
Turns out it happened at the Burger King across the street from me. (my view of that was blocked by the vehicle parked next to me)
One of the natives rode up on a bicycle and capped another in front of the restaurant. He was dead before the cops and EMS got there, and response was probably about 2 minutes.

Nah man, hood rats are known for their precision marksmanship, trigger discipline, and always checking what's beyond the target before riding up and busting caps in a homie's ass. You were never in any danger.

That's not so bad. That's like an everyday thing in Miami Gardens area, Way north from here. It was in the news yesterday some native making those "switch" things for the Glocks and "Drop in" sears for the AR's with a 3D printer in that area. Every night someone gets killed or shot up, always kids, mostly under 20 years old. Also in the news yesterday some old white guy said something to the kids at school and about fifteen of them came out, all very young, jumped the guy, beat him and kicked him. You don't interact with those animals during mating season, they get aggressive.

What a shame as Miami Gardens and all those spin offs from Miami and Ft. Liquordale used to be beautiful years ago when they were developing and expanding. Then slowly the apes started moving in and whoops so much for the nice part. Sadly even the good Black families that were trying to stay one step ahead of the frigging sub human animals packed up and left.

4th, Miami Gardens used to be a nice area eons ago. What happened all the bad element that used to control Downtown Miami was pushed out by developers, Today you can walk in downtown Miami late at night and be safe, 47 years ago a couple of chimps tried to hold me up walking to the parking lot, my wife freaked out but Maria came to the rescue and they fled running. Maria is what I call my old Colt 1911. So all those folks plus the Jamaican gangs and some Liberty City boys moved there. My parents had a house there, I grew up in that area, it was nice then by the early 80's the plague moved in, my mother sold the house for a nice profit and moved down south close to us. There is a small pocket of negroes south of University of Miami, not much goes there and an area way down south by Perrine area which is a bit problematic. Then you have Richmond Heights, which was an area designed for colored WWII veterans, nice houses, decent working folks, no problems there. But Liberty City and Miami Gardens...that was called Little VietNam at one point, you stay away.

Good infor Fred thank you. Yup it seems the whole damn corridor close to the old Dixie Hwy. north south is taken over by low lives. All the way up through Palm Beach. Even up here their are 'use caution' when entering especially at night zones. Daytona is nice daytime with tourists walking around doing whatever then good luck walking at night even by the beaches.
I'm getting old sun starts going down I stay home keep and eye on my trip flares doors locked and my BB gun close by..

That was a pretty regular thing in the area around my shop in Albuquerque. I don't miss it. Always had a shotgun or some other tool handy in my office.
