Look, anyone can do very well in this country if you put your mind and body to it, wife and I had nothing when we got married but a large credit card bill. Younger boy started with his father in law to do plumbing for a friend who is a contractor, he's now the largest plumbing company in S. Florida with over 40 employees.

Before 1990 west Germany had literally 0 unemployment. They had the best system for the working man ever thought up. Did not matter what job or your experience was if you were unhappy with the job you were doing you raised your hand and said I quit. Next step not to the unemployment office uh no sorry trooper. It was off to a govt. sponsored school for what type of work you wanted.

Its the young W. Germans Fred. Indoctrinated in the schools fellow youths and literature etc. They grew up communists. You speak the truth. My wife was born and raised in West Germany. She wasn't aware of it till later, but her whole education curriculum was focused on crushing German nationalism, German culture, and German pride. Examples:

1. She learned all about the ancient Egyptians while attending a school that literally sat in the shadow of a huge, beautiful medieval castle. Not a word was ever spoken about the castle, its history or its greatness.
2. The town she was born in (Heidenheim) was the birthplace of one of the greatest military minds the world has ever known: Erwin Rommel. A small shrine dedicated in his honor was built there. We visited it once. She had no idea who he was.
3. The only thing she learned about WWII was evil Nazi atrocities, concentration camps, and gassing innocent Jews.

Fortunately, the curriculum had the opposite effect on her. When she started seeing inconsistencies in logic, she discovered she'd been fed a line of shit.

It's difficult to break leftist indoctrination. In the case of my wife, she sensed much of it was bullshit at an early age. I helped nudge her along with a few things. Now she's just as conservative as anyone on this forum.

Her brothers went the opposite direction. They doubled down on socialism. To them, it's almost like a religion. Last week, one of them called my wife on her birthday. It wasn't a pleasant happy birthday call. Instead; all the dude wanted to to was talk about himself and complain about "Trump making fuel prices rise in Europe". Every single time this asshole calls, it's the same thing. Being an indoctrinated leftist is far more than just someone's political leanings. It comes with selfishness, entitlement, and a complete lack of accountability. They're truly miserable people.
