    OK Ring Camera, you win

I mean, if you want me to unsubscribe that bad, fine. I'll unsubscribe.

For about 5 years I've had a Ring camera package on the house, just 3 cameras, but they do what I want. Ring occasionally sent an email, but probably not more often than 6 or so a year. Wasn't intrusive, wasn't a problem.

I come home today and there's some email from Ring. It's an add for some enhanced protection, so I deleted it. About 5 minutes later, there's a new email, another version of the "Buy this to enhance your Ring protections!" Weird, I would swear I deleted that, but what ever - Delete.

Five minutes later, ping, another email about Ring and their enhanced protections. OK, lesson learned. Unsubscribe first, then delete.

This morning I opened the Ring app to see which critters were captured on video cam of my front yard/driveway to the recurring message that 'your free Ring PRO trial expires in XX days'. I never opted for a free Ring PRO trial. I have a feeling that when the 30 day free trial ends that Ring will try to shift my old plan to the PRO plan. Guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks. I'll be ready for them as I have only one Ring camera but I have 7 other Wyze cameras scattered around my place. It will be very easy to add one more camera to my Wyze account without any additional fee other than the cost of a replacement camera. I just don't want to have to retire a $300 Ring camera with floodlights if I don't have to..

Oh it's only what three or five dollars a month? I have Blink all around the house here but have my own hub with a usb drive so I save all my things. At he island we have some Reolink solar powered (and batteries) cameras that are fancy, they even follow people around and record them, they alert my cell when something moves, even a tree.
Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.

Could it be a new scam? Scammers never sleep.

I have a Blink camera, but I let the battery die because the hummingbirds kept setting it off all the time.
