Last year these people buy a lot kitty corner behind me, with the plans to park a double wide. Well that's against the HOA, and by them parking a trailer the area property value go down by 30%. Most of these houses are either weekend or retired people. Not one wants to see their hard earned homes value shot to hell because some cheap ass people.
Ernie who has to look at this tell the guy along with 3 others no double wide or trailer homes are allowed here. The guy tells Ernie he doesn't give a fuck & will do as he pleases on his property. Well Ernie tells him if he did that he would sue him. So smart ass says he will counter sue. the court dates were postponed twice. The first time in court turned into 3 hours of the double wide attorney presentation about all the other violations of the HOA rules. Ernies lawyer points out that at anytime some could have brought suit but chose not to. Ernies expert witness's were two realtors/developers. Then a lady whose house has been for sale but the trailer near by fucked those deals up.
The next day in court was really a display of leftist shit heads. They had their entire side full up with people many who live outside our HOA, who were there for moral support. The lesbians who live around the corner from me would not sign the petition ta Ernie's lawyer had him get. They said they didn't want to open that can of worms. Come to find out the one dykes sister owns the lot behind me and had the same Idea of a double wide. For about the same amount of money one could have a Barndominium built. A barno will increase in value over the years where a trailer just show its cheap & poor design, while falling apart. After another 3 hours the lawyer closed and the judge said he needed to research it. And it would take a month, so don't bug him.
Today makes a month and Ernie and all of the neighbors win. The double wide needs to be removed by March 22. What a truly crappy time to have to move that crap. The weather generally is rainy. Ernie said he's buying the beer I guess I'll smoke some pork butts as we are going to have a going away party for them.
