    This morning at the marina

The 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month. we have Geezerfeast at the marina. Mainly hang out & bullshit, but it was mainly to see who might need a hand with something. When we were leaving I was talking with a friend checking out the enclosure I add to my Honda Pioneer, when he spotted a Bald Eagle land atop one of the transmission tower from the local power plant. It's always cool to see them around.

Cool. We have a few around here, but then again we have every animal here. I heard noises and a flock of geese went over my house, large blue and gold macaws come by leftovers from the old Parrot Jungle and they are free to come and go. Hawks, eagles, you name it,. Ducks fly from lake to lake all the time
Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.

We are fortunate enough to see eagles frequently here. A while back I saw one in the road eating roadkill while buzzards watched waiting their turn.

One of our neighbors around the lake from us has a tall pine tree that eagles nest in, the nest is huge.

Eagles are huge birds. When I lived in Houston Eagle Lake was a common goose hunting grounds. Lots of bald eagles. To the south on Armand Bayou they had lots of ospreys. In the city on Houston I was close to the Houston Medical Center. There were peregrine falcons there and downtown. I’d watch them hunting in my neighborhood. The old neighborhood was stupid with owls. Walking my dogs before work in the wee hours of the morning you often were made aware of an owl often seeing them after the fact. One morning when I was unlocking my truck the door had blood from where an owl sat perched above eating a kitten.

I have the picture somewhere my brother sent me.
Awesome picture of an eagle up close.
Then zooming out a bit and it's maybe four eagles in the trees.
Zooming out more and it's dozens of eagles in the trees and it's the garbage dump near his home is Alaska.
Kinda spoiled it for me but it's still awesome to see them here in SE Michigan.
My friend has some amazing pictures of the ice around his house absolutely bathed in blood from the eagles killing ducks in little patches of open water surrounded by ice.
