Dec. 7th A Day That Will Live in Infamy.

Thus that first historic sentence—the one that is usually quoted from the speech—was born: "Yesterday, December 7, 1941—a date which will live in infamy—the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by the naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan."

    R.I.P. brave men.

I didn't realize what date it was until I looked at my computer.
Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.

Another case where Uncle Sugar knew what was coming, and sat back let a devastating lose of life and equipment happen for profit among those with connections. My father dropped out of high school to join following his older brothers. One was in the second wave on D-Day and forever fucked up. And that effected his kids & grand kids.

Compare those soldiers to our current young men.Young soldiers were in much better physical shape back then.

The abundance of food, especially processed food, has weakened US readiness.
We have met the enemy and he is us.

Tojo lived to regret that day, up until he dropped through a trapdoor with a noose around his neck.

Their was so many dead and human remains on the D Day beaches once the beachhead was secure they brought in bulldozers to bury them. Deep long trenches were dug well above the tide line. Men who just a few hours earlier were eating their last breakfast of steak and eggs were now 'ungracefully' being pushed in the ditch and covered with sand as the smell had become intolerable for those still alive.
Later to be dug up and best efforts were made to make a complete body so they could forever rest in nearby designated cemeteries. Scenes the public does not see in Hollweird movies.
