2,000 Drones Fall From The Sky After Failing During Light Show

Drone shows are meant to be the future of celebration as they’re a cleaner alternative to fireworks that don’t terrorize every animal within a five-mile radius. That’s not quite true when these shows go wrong and thousands of drones start falling from the sky, however, as was the case in China earlier this month.

A drone and firework show in China went disastrously wrong when around 2,000 of the quad-copters went haywire and started falling from the sky, reports Australia’s ABC News. The show in the mainland city of Quanzhou was hosted by artist Cai Guo-Qiang and was supposed to show off the history, culture and women of the region.

To do this, Guo-Qiang paired a fleet of thousands of flying drones with a firework display and lights, which attracted huge crowds to watch. Things got off to a promising start . . .

NJ and NY need some of them anti drone guns.

I've seen some of the drone shows on TV and they are very impressive.

So where is all their technology? I've seen some fancy shows here and everything always worked.

They did one of those drone shows instead of fireworks a couple years ago for the Fourth of July. The town council about got lynched for it.

The thing about drones that concerns me is that it gives someone access to my property without my permission. It hasn't happened yet, but I wouldn't appreciate people snooping around from above. I'm not sure whether or not I can legally shoot one down over my property. I probably need to find out ahead of time.

They are not supposed to infringe upon your privacy and you are not supposed to shoot them down either.
