Glad I Grew Up When There Were Still Men Around

The big box store are not the only ones. Out here where I live its Woodson's Hardware stores. I have two to choose from as they are both the same distance away. During Covid I need a bottle of gas for my small hand torch. I walked around Woodson's in Buffalo, Texas looking. No one asking if I needed help. After gimping my ass around twice I finally see someone and ask. He tells me non to be had in the whole country because of the epidemic. I needed something at O'Reilly's so I ask them and they where like yeah. When I told them about Woodson's they laughed, and it was all women working at O'Reilly's.

The last local owned hardware store here closed 2-3 years ago. Now it's a smoke shop selling vapes and CBD stuff. What a shame.
