Some parents go too far with kids sports.

At my sons wrestling tournament today.

One of the teams best wrestlers, has a real shot at going to a D1 wrestling program on scholarship.

This kid has pneumonia and bronchitis, hasn’t wrestled in the last tournament before today and missed a couple weeknight matches and practice. My son got bumped up a weight class to take his place in this kid’s absence.

Kid fought a hard match and won on points literally in the last couple seconds. Ref raised his Armand kid collapsed due to breathing problems. They couldn’t find his inhaler. He walked out of the gym with his dad after being on the floor for about 10 minutes.

See his dad before next round, asked how he was. His dad said fine and had the wind knocked out of him is all.

Next round less than a minute in the kid collapses again, can’t breathe and possibly a seizure. I believe he was taken out by squad depending on who you ask.

Seriously wtf is wrong with the dad, the coach and the refs letting him continue.

I told my son from the beginning if I thought he was too hurt or sick to continue I’d take him directly from a match or tournament to an urgent care or ER. Even if he he was going to likely win.

    Hope the kids all right.

Dad sounds more interested in bragging rights than he does about his kid. I grew up with 3 baseball fields right behind our family home. I loved playing little league baseball. Saw many a game ruined with screaming and fighting parents over the damn kids game. We skated pond hockey and the real rich kids got to play organized.
Lot of parents now want to emulate the pros through their kids. They put to much pressure on the poor kids to be the next Mickey Mantle or Bobby Orr. Leave the kids have fun and don't worry if their good or bad the key is 'fun'.

My son finished 6th yesterday, very proud of him the 2 matches he lost 1 a simple mistake cost him and was pinned and the other on points to a guy who I swear looked 30 😂.

Every match he fought hard until the end, that’s all I ask.

He knows if I think he’s hurt I’ll pull him. I’m just as pissed at the coach for this and I plan on talking to
The schools AD this week. Ask him how he can guarantee everything is being done for the students safety.

Dad's being stupid, health comes first always.

I can't stand those kind of parents. I've been working volunteer at some local HS basketball games. Surprisingly, I haven't encountered one of those parents. Most are pretty chill.

When I was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, I was asked to serve as acting athletic director of youth sports for a few months. It was a DA civilian position and the guy was out for surgery. It was an easy job. Everything was self-running with volunteers and a few paid referees doing 99% of the work. The only issue I had was a small group of parents who demanded a little league baseball game be re-played due to some referee calls they said were bad.

I listened to their concerns, waited a couple days and re-convened. I told them "no". We will not re-play a little league game. I told them they were more concerned about their own egos than the kids. I told them if they disagreed with my decision, they could speak with the garrison commander who would not look kindly on your grievance.

I never heard from them again.

Just because you can have a kid doesn't make you a great parent. My best friend has two girls, ones an adult and the other in college. After the divorce the mother poisoned the kids minds. He's white she a Mexican. When word got out he was seeing a "White Women" his cunt bitch ex wife starts this "White Women" bullshit. The fucking kids are half white!

He works offshore on a drilling ship, travels the world and seldom home. That made him a bad guy, yet the cunt bitch blew thru $450K in 3 years with really nothing to show for it other then good times. So the cunt bitch has custody of the kids, seeing as he is never home. After the divorce he was the had guy, because his child support didn't match the cunt bitches out of control spending on the kids. The reality is both kids got as much as my take home pay in support.

Yesterday came by with the youngest who pretty much only has contact with him if she needs $$$$$. He does a lot of bitching about the non contact with them, but when the come around he becomes a dotting father. I really had to bite my tongue about the whole "White People" thing.
