PUNTA ARENAS, Chile (AP) — A humpback whale briefly swallowed a kayaker off Chilean Patagonia before quickly releasing him unharmed. The incident, caught on camera, quickly went viral.

I have kayaked in the Gulf of America and in the Atlantic. But i didn't go out where the whales play.

I have seen them up close in Alaska, they are big. Dinky, take an Alaska cruise and they offer whale watching on some of the stops. I think it was Juneau we took a smaller boat that takes you to where they are, now of course there are no guaranties you'll see one, but they sure try, the boat captains talk to one another and know where the whales are..
