I'm looking for a good deal on one of those Tisas 1911-A1 so I can keep my baby in a safe. a 1911 is a 1911, no matter what they can be fixed and improved if anything goes wrong and I know that toy like the palm of hand or better. I'm still so-so as far as pain, something got messed up on my upper ribs when they split me open and still hurts a lot and to top it off I had a pretty nasty fall on my pool deck the other day, just lost my balance, hit my dog, she got out just in time and I hit the concrete, 6'4" 280 lb falling on concrete after open heart surgery...no good. BUt it's OK. It sucks getting old.
If I feel good enough I'm going to the toy show on Nov 2

I know, I figure up to $340 is a good local price, down here prices are higher and the best any local shops would do is 10% off suggested retail with almost 3 million people here someone will always pay their price.
RTO, heck I’m beginning to realize that

Good to hear that you are feeling better Fred. I hope you do get another 1911, that series 70 government you have needs a friend.Comment

Been eyeballing those, too, since my kid got one. But, I'm pretty happy with my Springfield Loaded, and recently rebuilt it with all new springs. The finish is worn off, and I was going to get it reblued, but my kids begged me not to, as it has "personality".
Been kind of sniffing at the Beretta CX4 Storm as another carry option, but I'm still pretty happy with my CZ 75 P0-1. The rotating barrel on the Beretta intrigues me.Comment

Fred I got the Tisa .45 when RetVet posted them for $299. Is it a Wilson competition? No but right out of the box I took it down lubed it checked it over and damn I love it. Bought a cheap $79 threaded barrel from Brownells put the new Octane suppressor on and the first mag had two failures to eject. Next mag no problems. A hundred rounds and 0 problems.I'm looking for a good deal on one of those Tisas 1911-A1 so I can keep my baby in a safe. a 1911 is a 1911, no matter what they can be fixed and improved if anything goes wrong and I know that toy like the palm of hand or better. Saving my lunch money for more Rock River Arms .45s and hell another Tisa. A high end barrel and improved trigger and these are kick ass good.
Plus the RRA and Tisa are model 70s and they refuse to let the Komifornia homos take that away with extra safeties added.
Stop falling walk slow buddy. I fall so much I practice my landings.
