Is Windows.net legit?

I updated both ios on my iphone and ipad and my exchange email account is now asking for me to reenter my password. This is not odd but what is strange is the window that pops up on both devices stating: "Settings Wants to use Windows.net to sign in this allows the app and website to share information about you" WTF is that?! never seen it before and it is on both devices. I have not downloaded anything to either device other than the usual os update. My internet research shows some claim it is legit others it is suspicious. Anyone have advice?

That popped up on my wife's laptop the other day while she was doing our taxes on Turbotax. We didn't trust it, either, so x'd out of all the popups.

Phishing attack. run an antivirus, clean everything, change your passwords and hopefully you'll be OK.

Well as a follow up it is legit. It is Microsoft 365 and the data is used for my enhanced internet security.
