President Trump is reportedly moving forward with plans to retake the Panama Canal.

According to officials who spoke with NBC News, Trump asked military leaders to “draw up options” for a plan that would either see the U.S. partnering more closely with Panamanian security forces or potentially taking the canal back by force.

Thirty-eight thousand workers died building the Panama Canal. They died of malaria. They died of snake bites and mosquitoes. Not a nice place to work.

It was given away by the Carter administration for $1, but that agreement has been violated very severely. We didn’t give it to China. We gave it to Panama, and we’re taking it back.

Now that's interesting.. I guess the little I have read into this situation is China is starting to move in and charge people for using the canal? If true what the hell business do they have doing that? They mentioned U.S. ships are getting charged higher than everyone else also.

Fred I really doubt their would even be a fight you know the people on the street are getting squat from China running the canal. I would bet just a trip down with front end men from PTs crew and just explain we want China out stop over charging our ships or your going to be working a Taco stand on main street.

My friend here in town was a kid in the Boy Scouts down Panama his dad a 3 tour or more Nam Green Beret was teaching at the survival school and he was in military housing. Needed some BS badge so dad and the Green Berets put them through a 3 day survival school. Oh they let the kids get hungry start a fire catch and cook fish use the map purify water etc..
No help from the dads but he said they spotted their dads creeping around at night make sure they were O.K.. 😄 He said it was super cool.. He loved Panama was talking about going back lot of friends people were cool..

My squad leader in Germany was Panamanian. He grew up on the streets. His father was a GI who abandoned his mother. He taught me some pretty useful knife fighting techniques.

It's actually a good thing that Panama violated the agreement as it gives us the moral high ground on re-taking this strategic territory. Panama screwed up big time by over-charging US ships and getting too cozy with China. Had they just quietly complied with the agreement, they'd be sitting pretty. Instead; they got greedy. And you know what they say: "Pigs are led to the slaughter."

It's time to take it back.
