no sir, just to cross the causeway they charge $6.00, that keeps people out. There is a lot of construction going on there and most of laborers are mexicans and cubans from Ft Myers, but they are gone by 3PM. But thee are no condos in my area so you don't see too many. I had a mexican guy with a crew fill up the small pond in front of the house and bring a truck of gravel and spread it. $1,200 wasn't too bad for five guys all day. They did a good job.

I don't really know, I've been doing work in and around the house and haven't really gone out much, leaving tomorrow again, have all the window treatments waiting to be installed. We did walk to the beach a couple weeks ago and thats about it. It is a beautiful island full of wildlife. I have not been there since I was a little kid but I vividly remember it. I actually saw a rare huge Indigo Snake slither across a guys walkway. It is like a giant tropical garden. Maybe I can go back there some day.Comment

Seashells, the island was actually a pirate place 500 years ago. Sanibel is famous for the amount of seashells by the waters edge, water shoes are recommended.Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.Comment

Daughter and husband are there now we're leaving in a couple hours, got some work to do, we called a couple of gals for window treatments, they wanted 13K, my wife bought the same stuff for $1600 but I need to install myself. Already have another set of tools there in the garage. It never ends. There is no theft in the island, only crime is drunk tourists driving around and illegal parking. Only about 3,000 folks live there full time, we are already friends with the neighbors, they are happy because we will not be renting.Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.Comment

I was out cutting firewood in the forest about a mile from me here and about 15 feet away from me one started slipping slowly by. I just froze and watched it paid no 0 attention to me. Not many left their on the endangered species list and their being re- introduced. A shame if people kill them they eat rodents rats and mice.Comment
