Robots hit the streets against humans in Beijing half marathon

The world's first humanoid robot half marathon was held in Beijing on Saturday, with the robot Tiangong Ultra crossing the finish line in a little over 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Despite giving it all its circuits could handle, Tiangong Ultra was left in the dust by the fastest human finisher, who crossed the line in a brisk 1:11.07.

About 20 bipedal robots joined more than 10,000 humans

Technology has come a long way since I was a kid. The concept of humanoid robots sure has slimmed down. I wonder if the robots smell like a Harbor Freight store?

That is cool in my .02... They even made the robot a negro which is kind of racist if their is no White boys racing. I bet the near future holds robots doing all kinds of jobs replacing manwell labor. Counter help waiters message deliveries vacuuming doing dishes cooking. Hell even programmed to argue with you when you get home from work.

Since they had to make it black, here are some issues:

It can't steal anything as it has no hands/fingers, just rounded ends.

It can run, so when they start running away, we can just restart the runaway robot/slave service......giving people jobs.

There will be some nasty fat white chicks that will want to have its baby. Too bad that this model has no, "mi dic" to impregnate them with.

For those freaky nasty fat white chicks that insist on breeding with it, the robot has those knobs on it arms to beat her with among other actions.
