To help brighten your day a little further, the poor, rural county where I reside can barely keep up with the pace of ICE prisoner transports. Even when flexing in the the reserve deputies, they're always short on labor.
The ones we're sending back are opportunists and petty criminals; no hardened MS13 types. They're pleasant, respectful and polite.
Whenever there's a female prisoner involved, the sheriff mandates that there MUST be a female deputy in the transport van. Wise move. Even with cameras, any appearance of impropriety can spiral into all sorts of false accusations.
