    Sleepless night

IMG_2856.jpg IMG_2858.jpg I Had my knee replacement surgery yesterday. Overall a cake wake as I suspected. I had it done at a surgical center verso the hospital. The nurse were all hot and professional. No shergroids spotted.

seeing as it was day surgery I had to walk 100 feet with a walker. Recovery was very pleasant. After some ice water & peanut crackers I surprised the nurse by getting dressed myself.

They said I had to pee before being released. I know that out no problem. The they said I was the quickest to so for the walk and had the fastest time.

Being hungry we hit Terry Blacks in Waco for bbq. I used the crutches instead of the walker plus came down a few steps.

The hour & half ride to the pharmacy was pain free. I have an ice water radiator to help with pain and swelling. The only thing that hurts is my thigh from them doing the nerve block.

Im eat & drnking and pissing like normal. I Dan IMG_2857.jpg

Here's wishing you a speedy recovery. Sorry about all the pain you're in. I had some painful dental work done a few days ago. The dentist actually had me laughing even though I it was the most painful visit ever.

"I thought you old Army guys were tougher than this?"
"It's always the big, scary dudes who are the biggest cry babies."
"Girl scouts handle this level of pain better than you do."

Both of my hips replaced and a shoulder replacement plus about every frigging bone in my body blown up beat up and busted. You will heal and be walking just fine ask me how I know? šŸ˜€
Not to long ago you would have been on your back in bed for about 5 days with a machine hooked up to your leg to keep flexing your knee. Not anymore now next day its get up walk and 2 days in the hospital at the most.
Listen to your therapists they are all good people and they will help you. šŸ‘

That's because you like those girls at the VA in Gainesville, so you keep going back for more.

Keep plugging it in boon, you'll be all right within a couple weeks.

That doesn't look too bad. They don't even use stitches anymore, they glued my chest shut, it held.

Don't stop the walker and crutches till they say you can boon. Why take a chance on falling or screwing up that operation after all you have been through?
At the least don't go walking around outside or in a crowded place without a cane. You mess up you will be back on the table.
That is an order Troop.. 😁

Must be like 'super glue' or stronger Fred they did the same with my shoulder operation closing up. Plus in the operating room i looked around before they knocked me out and some of the frigging tools looked like they bought them at Harbor Freight.. 😁
