National Hamburger Day 2025: Free food at Burger King, deals at Wendy's, Dairy Queen

If you are a fan of hamburgers, then Wednesday, May 28, is a good day to grab one – it's National Hamburger Day.

No one knows how May 28 became the unofficial hamburger holiday, according to the National Day Calendar, but its proximity to Memorial Day and the outdoor grilling season could be a reason.

National Hamburger Day is Wednesday, May 28, and many burger spots like Wendy's, Burger King, Shake Shack, Smashburger and Whataburger have specials.

    Free food is serious stuff.

That's a coincidence. I planned on making smash taco burgers tomorrow with some ground brisket.

I don't mean to sound like a burger snob, but even if it's free Burger King isn't worth the trip.

O man, remember when it really took two hands to handle a Whopper, they were an instant hit and only 50-60 cents.

Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.

I'm not old enough to have had the 50-60 cent Whopper, but I'm old enough to remember dollar Whoppers - and they were still big. I haven't been to a Burger King since they went all faggy and BLM - or woke.

McDonald's doesn't get off, either. I had a Big Mac because Trump won, and was surprised at how small they are now, and how expensive they are. Plus, it gave me the shits.

I was just at a Wendy's yesterday by chance and nothing mentioned about this. Then again, it was a Wendy's near Roanoke, VA and everyone working there was a wetback.
