Just bought another golf cart

Yeah, they are the reddish brown colored Trojan 6 volt batteries. The cart is 36 volt and the last set of batteries cost $800.

funny, just got a call from my brother, he's got a 48V lead acid battery cart and left it on for several days, now it's not picking up a charge, told him to disconnect them and charge one at a time and see if the controller comes on once he gets some charge in them. If they go totally dead you need to wake them up. He said it was over $1K to replace them.

If your brother has an old style battery charger that will work, one at a time. The newer piles of crap will not charge up a dead battery! It's all in the control board. I had a decent old style battery charger, 96 year old friend could not get his old pickup going. I took my charger over there, hooked it and left. Some how the positive lead came off and got hooked up to ground. Got a call and was told every thing was smoky and the charger was on fire. Still looking for an old style charger.

55Chevy , that's what he was doing yesterday, haven't talked to him yet, he's got the same brand Merc Sr. has. Golf carts are useful in small communities and we have a lot of them n Florida.

got it from Matts Custom Golf Carts, I believe the "closest" one to you is in Stuart and that's a drive. I had to drive all the way to Punta Gorda to buy it, Naples and Ft Myers store didn't have what I was looking for and no one in Miami had a six seater for a reasonable price.
