Good man Derrick Perry thank you.
Now Mr. Perry will get charges pressed against him for carrying a weapon on Wally Worlds precious property.

That's the first time I've heard that. Every news story about this incident heaps praises upon Perry as did his county sheriff. Where did you get your information?

Mr. Perry. One recommendation. Drop the gangsta pistol pointing technique. The sights are on the top of the slide.

No news story Johnny it is an assumption on my part. Sorry if you misunderstood it but I also am heaping praises on him.
All those anti gun box stores and fast food joints and left wing Disney down here usually fire their employees after a good deed like Mr. Perry did.

Thanks for the clarification. As for your "assumption" that Mr. Perry will face legal scrutiny for his actions, you can rest assured that's not gonna happen. At this point, he's more likely to have a bronze statue of his likeness raised at the capital building in Lansing than face any sort of legal challenge. Same goes for a couple of other dudes who tackled the perp and held him down till police arrived.

Hopefully it never happens to one of us where we are involved in a nut case going crazy in one of these stores. But if? we have to take the nut out don't think the problem is over. Some time ago in Wally 'no guns allowed' World a CCW took down a nut case shooter. Good job over right? Wrong the shooters nut case girlfriend was standing back aways a bit and proceeded to pop the CCW in the back killing him. He never saw her.
Put your head on a swivel adrenaline rushing heart beating fast their may be more nuts with them.

Michigan Walmarts allow concealed and open carry for customers in accordance with state law. What they DON'T allow is for employees to carry. Employees will get fired on the spot. Customers carrying in the store won't get any push-back at all.

It's possible that there are some Michigan stores which have "no carry" signage, but I've never seen one.

Like most other businesses, Walmart is in it for the money and likes to stay away from politics. They'll always take the path of least resistance. Today they may be praising the armed shooter. Tomorrow they may be refusing to sell certain types of ammo. They want to please all sides of the debate and remain as neutral. Again... It's all about turning a profit.

Home Depot is the same way. I would get fired on the spot if they found out I keep a handgun in my truck, even though it is locked in a mini-safe. But fuck them, they're not going to tell me I can't protect myself going to or from work.

I kept one in my briefcase when I worked at a college.

When I was an Asst. Manager at a Walgreens, I kept one on top of the safe under a satchel when I was alone on duty. The district security guy came in one day while things were slow, just to see how it was going. I kind of sideways asked him about carrying and he kind of sideways answered if nobody knows you have it, then what they don't know won't hurt them. This was just after I'd tackled an illegal alien gangbanger running out the door with a case of beer under each arm and held him for the cops. A year or so after that, the same gangbanger murdered 3 or 4 people at the Pizza Hut across the street after herding them into the cooler.

When I had my shop in Albuquerque, I always carried. Never had to point it anyone, but I did have to put my hand on it a few times. It was not a nice neighborhood and is 10x worse now.

When I was drilling a water well next to the border in Douglas, AZ, the punks would run through the 3-strand barbed wire fence just to try to grab whatever they could off my drill rig or off the back of my water truck - even if it was a piece of scrap steel. That ended most ricky-tick when they came across and were approaching my stuff only to find me there holding a shotgun. I worked the rest of that job with that heavy Franchi SPAS12 slung across my back.
