Most pilots I've known live a long life...I hope I'm one of them. 97 is a long life.Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.Comment

All the original NASA pilots are gone. They were truly the best and brightest that America produced during that era.
I attended the University of Cincinnati back in the 70's. Used to see Neil Armstrong walking around campus from time to time as he taught Aeronautics at the engineering school then. Average height, always wore a suit and tie and carried a briefcase. I always wanted to speak to him and tell him how much I admired his accomplishments, but I was afraid he would say, "Get a haircut & shave hippy!" Still a neat memory though.Comment
