    Colonoscopy prep liquid

I'm not sure when I've EVER drank something so vile. At least this is only the 16 oz version (do it twice, so 32 oz). I might shit myself just from gagging as I try to drink this down.

V.A. had us drinking about a gallon of some beyond vile stuff. Buddy told me about some 16 oz. stuff at the pharm. I got some tasted like lemonade. Damn I can not remember the name but just ask the pharmacist.

Too late, already drank the first round. No lemonaid flavor to this stuff, just sip, gag, eyes water, nose runs, gag, then sip and repeat.

Works fast. I at least had the forethought to move a phone charger into the bathroom. Don’t expect I’ll be leaving this room for a while.

Guts left the building a long time ago. This is not a fun experience. Feels like food poisoning, only I have been on clear liquids for the last 24 hrs.

I do not believe in getting a colonoscopy done. Haven't had one yet and at my age they are not needed anymore unless you have a history. Asshole doctor killed my father in law with a colonoscopy. Everybody has polyps, a very small percentage may become cancerous and take about 25 years to kill you...I'll take my chances. There is no cancer history on my family, only heart issues.
Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.

My ex's grandfather was diagnosed with colon cancer at 65. He figured he'd take his chances and left it alone. He died in his 90s from it.

My family has both cancer and heart issues - but I have those issues under control, so far.

Colonoscopies are a novel way for doctors to make money. they became popular in 1985 when President Reagan had a "life saving procedure", but were originally developed in the late 60's. The medical association started making recommendations right after Reagan's colonoscopy, it's a fairly simple procedure, pretty safe in most cases and a good way to make a couple thousand bucks, some doctors do ten a day.

Well it’s done, and to be honest just avoiding that liquid is reason enough to not do this again. Ever

The VA doc asks me when I go in for a checkup if I want a colonoscopy ordered. I tell him/her no that I'll do the stool sample that is mailed in or dropped of at the VA clinic. They provide me with the mail in kit. I have been doing that for about 10 years and so far the test results are negative for blood in the sample.
My cancer doc keeps bugging me about another endoscopy to check for varices. I've had 4 endoscopes already. The doctors either want to stick something down my throat or up my ass, it gets old.

My wife's father died in 2013 from colon cancer so she gets hers checked every 3 years.

A simple MRI would work just as well but its less money to the insurance companies. I know a internal med doc made 1 mil a year doing these things.

My wife has a good job as a nurse in a gastro office, so I won’t complain.

So far one doctor in town punctured 2 of my acquaintances' shit pipes. One of them needed a bowel resection after the site went septic.
