The comments about it being 1860 again ring true. I wasn't alive then, of course, but I can't show another time in US history where the people are so divided. You're either a liberal or conservative and there's not a lot of in between.

The liberal message touts free stuff, equality, level playing field, price controls and government control of your life. It's an inherently Marxist ideology that actually resonates with many Americans; perhaps half of us. Marxism is a path of destruction. We all know that but its message is powerful. Many ignorant, lazy and uninformed Americans will fall for it.

Like most of you, I'm predicting a Trump victory. That may save us. If he loses, we're in deep trouble. There won't be a civil war. Instead; it will be a slow decline.
