Wow, imagine if you would have bought them back in the early 70's. I have a few things I bought back then, Colt 1911 Government Model Series 70 $136, S&W Chief Special Model 36, $79.00, Winchester 94 $75.00, I look at their prices now and go, damn, I wish I would have had more money back then. I could have bought a Colt AR back then for $150, if I remember correctly.

Hey Fred, have you examined your new Colt closely? Guys buying new Colts are reporting lots of QC failures, out spec parts, slides, barrels with no rifling, burrs, frame battering and poor customer service when they send them back for warranty repairs.
