You are asking for too much, Cephus is our friend with the Army cap, Preacher is the chubby guy with the Old NAvy shirt, I think Custer was the white hair guy, not sure, Pogo met him personally he can say if I'm wrong. There is Sangrunhunter (Jeff) the guy with the red shirt and that's all I recognize, Maybe Preacher will come by and tell us who is who. This was a very long time ago at Cephus old place.

Thank yah Fred. Yup that brings back memories of the $59.95 Hungarian under folder kit days yes sir how many would you like to order today?
I never personally met those guys but picked their brains with rookie building questions and most all helped me learn the do and don'ts of proper building. Then ptannjr, who I still see told me about some site called the DDB. Yup I gots to hang with those guys their a tad bit on the wild side.

Man, I saw someone asking $1,000 for a Romy "G" kit, the other day. I remember when they were $49

There is a famous picture of Cephus cutting up an old washing machine to manufacture an AK receiver. Those were good old days.

That's nut as I recently saw Hungarian kits on 'Gun-Deals' for under $500 and I think they were underfolders? Hell now Palmetto PSA is making perfect repos of every AK ever built even Chinese. Plus the prices are more than fair.
I personaly would never pay a grand $$ for a kit when AKs come up for sale complete for less that that.

I bought a fully assembled AK for like $280 back then. Go look at them now.

You'll also pay more for 7.62x39 than you will for 5.56 NATO, now. Everything has flip-flopped. ARs are cheaper than AKs, including the ammo.

Those poor folks who bought the 5.45x39 can't even find ammo for them half the time, anymore.

The best of both worlds seems to be 5.56 NATO AKMs, if you don't like ARs.

74.62x39 I have enough to hold a division....almost, got a few thousands when they were cheap.
