Holeeeee Sheeeeet that is frigging beautiful.... 😁😁👍👍
May the winds be fair and always at his back. May the seas be calm and warn him when she is upset. May the fish be plentiful and he never be hungry and he take from the sea only what he and his family will partake of.
Holeeee Sheeet oh I said that.. 😁 Fred that is the perfect size for inshore and offshore now he has to come up with a cool name. Next is the outriggers lights radar fishing gear and all the lures and tackle. GPS and the log book to keep track of where the fish were hitting. Tell your son I said congratulations he is going to be in heaven fishing with that beauty..

He dropped a nice piece of change on that boat, all that stuff may have to wait a bit. He won a large lawsuit against a contractor that owed him and the bonding company had to pay so he put the money in the water. But it was a nasty amount.IMG_7782.jpg

Yup twin Merc outboards he is going to be in heaven fishing with that beauty. 👍
Just read a story in a fishing mag. about Jimmy Buffets offshore catamaran fishing rig. Right around $2 mil. with 4 high horse Mercs. Guys are getting away from the big Hatteras's that start at around $1 mil used and 20 yrs. old.

Fred your son has to keep trading up till he gets his 4 outboard 40 ft. Cat offshore fisher. I would just as soon have your sons rig perfect like I have said for offshore inshore combo fishing.

Nice boat. On calm days he should be able to do some offshore fishing.

On a calm day he can go to The Bahamas on that thing, it's only 60 miles from us, but the boat is in the keys now so it would be along trip. He likes to go after Mahi, Tuna and all those fish when he goes out, mostly he likes to take wife and kids out just for fun around the islands. 32 footer with twin outboards. Some big time lawyer bought it and then decided he wanted a bigger one and sold it to him, brand new $50K cheaper.

Fred if he has the kids out try to get into some Jack Crevalle's. While not high up the food chain for eating I would rank them pound for pound one of the toughest fish I ever hooked into. Damn they put up a fight. One of those buggers I hooked into was the start of my damn shoulder problems. I forget what we were going for in the Gulf of America in my buds flats boat.
Was not ready for that damn thing it almost ripped my right arm out of the socket.

Jacks put up a fight, not very nice to eat, have to drain all the blood out and too many bones, but if you are hungry it's edible.

He just went crazy and also bought a 18 footer Boston Whaler to go around the islands down there. I was down there Sunday and you should see the snappers right behind his house, don’t need a boat., big barracudas too.

Was just looking over the picts. Fred and I noticed something. That Merc X5 I believe is a 115 HP.? Holy sheet I am sure that Whaler can handle it but damn that little rig will fly with those horses pushing that boat.
Take yer hat off and git something to hold onto when that throttle gets maxed. 😁
A good stainless prop with the right pitch? Yup hang on.. 👍

He got the little boat just to go around the islands there, lots of restaurants on the water that have docks and you just pull up and tie down and to teach his son how to use a boat, it also runs on way less fuel than the big one with a 300 gal tank. That Contender is a monster. He keeps that one on the trailer under the house, one neighbor has a ramp and lets the people on the block use it, yeah that little 17 footer moves but it's a Boston Whaler, it can take a beating.
