That's a long dead firearm brand. Probably came with the Marlin acquisition, as Marlin had been making Glenfields for quite a while. My first firearm was a Glenfield single shot .22 rifle my Dad bought for me at Western Auto when I was 4 yrs. old. It's what I learned how to shoot with. Thousands and thousands of rounds later, my grandson will learn on that rifle, as well.
Just noticed that Ruger has resurrected the Glenfield rifle product line.

I checked it out and the rifles appear a little more advanced than my Ruger American .308. It comes standard with a threaded barrel and grippy furniture. MSRP is reasonable at $500.
