Not sure what you are asking.
A normal AK flat will not work with a bulged trunnion.
AK builder sold jigs and flats that worked with bulged trunnions. If you have a AKB jig make sure it is for the bulged trunnions he sold both types.

Back in the day, I used to roll my own receivers from AK Builders flats, both bulged trunnion & standard slab sided receivers. In fact, I still have the receiver pressing jigs that you had to have to form the flats into a ready to build receiver.

The only problem was that you have to heat treat the receiver properly or it would wear out @ the FCG holes quickly. The bulged trunnion receivers were also much thicker that a standard receiver & they just worked better, but made a heavier gun in the end.

I stacked them deep back in the day when they were cheap.
                Flats, rivets and all that.
                I still visit Gunco sometimes.

Bill yes just as the guys are posting the Yugo is the best example of the bulged trunnion I guess? The Russians gave the Chinese equipment to get their AK 47 builds for their military going. The Chinese made their receivers half again thicker than what the Ruskies were doing. That really improved the quality and all around functions of their guns. I am not sure what the bulged trunnion does?
Back in the $59.99 kit days the Chinese type 56-S kits were available and also the Norinco's at the fun shows. Think pre ban they were around $150 if that? Check the prices now? Holy sheeeeet.

What is a CHINESE TYPE 56S AK 47 Rifle Worth?

That is a good site it tells you what guns sold for in different parts of the country.

No. You should use an RPK style receiver. Those are designed to accept the bulged front trunnions.
