That will make using the enemies ammo easier, especially if Ukraine gets the upgraded M60E6's.

We still can't import it, so it is useless to me.

Certainly looks like an AR 10 clone. Interesting the Russians would be moving to a NATO 7.62 round but maybe theirs is a different spec from our .308 cartridge?

Hmmm...so the rooskies have adopted an AR10 clone, in 308, to replace their Dragonof line of sniper rifles?

      Sure does look like it.

Looks like a piston drive AR-10. Makes sense from a practical perspective. If you might fight NATO forces you can pick up their ammo drops, plus the black market is heavily stocked in 308.

I bet it’s a heavy bitch to lug around, but the Russian military doesn’t recruit from the Rainbow Alliance so they have actual men packing those rifles.

A friend of mine got crazy rich after his father died. He at one time had a H&K 53 and loved it. Well he had a bad year with his business and had to sell it. I spot a really clean 53 and send him a link. He replies to heavy & expensive. I reply back that a recent Colt NIB Commando came up for $65K. and once he started adding what he would eventually want on it,it be even heavier. Growing on means slowing the fuck down.

Iran has been making M16s for their own use for 20 years.

As others have mentioned, it looks like an M16 / AR10. I didn't dig too deeply. The link had all sorts of ads, videos and pop ups.

It seems that transitioning to heavier rifles with more powerful ammunition is the latest trend. The US is eventually moving to a 6.8mm round that has a better chance of penetrating body armor.

The HK417 is a piston-driven rifle, vs the DI AR-10. Lots of similar looks, the HK was designed to have the same ergonomics and controls of the Stoner rifles most are used to. Our boys are using HKs in some roles now. I’m surprised the Germans agreed to sell them to Russia.
