Finally ordered a cleaning rod

I bought a VZ24 Mauser back in '97 for my Dad for Christmas. It looks like an arsenal rework, probably one of the Russian captures. The handguard doesn't match the stock, but everything is really tight and it shoots great. Only problem is that it never came with a cleaning rod. I found a repro cleaning rod on Numrich, but they wanted $50 for it.

I mentioned something about it to a guy online the other day, and he told me to check out Landser Outfitters at landser.com

They had what I needed for $10 plus shipping. According to the e-mail I got this morning, it is already on the way.

My Mauser finally looks "normal". Cleaning rod was in perfect condition and screwed right in to its spot. It's the little things like that that nag at me until I fix them.

Yup I know what yah mean Sanders. Its worth getting a good $$ cleaning rod the cheaper ones break on just a few damn cleanings. Sucks spending big bucks on something then seeing it 1/2 the price later. Good find. 👍
