It's a nice collector's gun but trading a Colt for it?

Everybody should have at least one GI M1 Carbine. And an M1 Garand as well.

My Dad used to carry an M1 carbine in his truck many years ago & had .50 caliber can with 800 rounds of .30 caliber Bolivian carbine ammo in the closet. I still have both of them, but my Dad passed on 30 years ago.

I bought an Israeli .30 carbine from a guy @ work & a H&R M1 Garand @ a gunshow, so all my bases are covered on this thread. Neither carbine has a high retail value, but one was my Fathers, so it is valuable to me.

This will be the 3rd carbine for me to have owned. My first one was A Plainfield that I bought from my brother. I sold that when I bought my Liberty Mini 14. The next one I bought from a friend of mine who is a big time collector of them. It was really nice totally correct & I paid $650.00 under you have to sell it back to me. He started wanting it back to fill an armory rack he has. Now this one.

I should see what kind of deal he would make me on the tools that were include with that carbine.

I remember when they were about $129.00, AR's were about $175, but I didn't have the money, LOL.
