Thinking about a new F350 Dually

My son gets a new 350 every two-three years, his company can afford it, I don't think he's had any issues other than a fender bender with someone. His big Cadillac SUV however, always in the shop, he just let it go and got a fancy Land Rover.

I have had several conversations with Ford truck owners about gas vs turbo diesel engines. Perhaps my bias towards gas engines is now obsolete. A 475hp diesel engine that achieves nearly twice the mpg of the 7.3 gas engine is interesting. I was told that the average fuel tank capacity for an oil burning F350 is 46 gallons of DF2. Don't seem like there is a lot of cold starting problems with the powerstroke diesel, even without plugging in the block heater. Twin batteries insure a lot of cranking power. I gotta have the polished Alcoa wheels. My Silverado dually had them and it looked great in black with the polished aluminium wheels. I dunno about a moon roof though. The Lariat and King Ranch models are sweet. I'm widening my search of in stock inventory of Ford dealerships. I could also simply pay cash for a new truck, also. Having a crew cab, again is beginning to push me in that direction. My present standard cab F350 does not have any storage space for traveling gear. Many times I slept in my Silverados back seat when it was needful. So many trucks....so little time....
