I got into silver stacking about 15 years ago for a few years. I was buying at $18-$22 an ounce then. Prior to that, I was into coin collecting so I separated all my pre-1965 coins to add to my stack. My current stack is still quite small, around 200 ounces. But at today's spot price, that's over $12,000. Not too bad.
Any silver stackers here? Silver over $66/ounce now.

Hell, I have all the lead I could ever want. Years ago when my kid was in Scouts and we were building pinewood derby cars I sent my wife down to the tire shop to ask for some used lead wheel weights.
Either she didn’t understand the assignment or they thought I needed lead for the entire PNW Region, but she came home with a steel bucket holding about 3 gallons of lead weights. “They were so nice they even loaded it in my van for me!”😀 4Comment

I stack lead, copper and brass. 100 rounds of 55gr 5.56mm weighs EXACTLY one pound. THAT... worth/value....when used properly and in a prudent manner, can and may, very possibly... mean the difference between your life and your death.
After TEOTWAWKI I see gold and silver as having little value to me. You can't eat the stuff. "Power flows from the barrel of a rifle."Last edited by dinkydow; 12-23-2025, 11:09 PM.👍 3Comment

Over $70 this morning. That's the dollar losing value, not silver becoming more valuable.

I didn't get mine fir free, but I bought several 5 gallon buckets of lead weights at $5.00 a bucket. And I have a couple hundred pounds of pure lead that my son got from a hospital xray room when the walls were removed.Hell, I have all the lead I could ever want.
