This is exactly what we need: a department whose only mission is to scrutinize, reduce and disband other departments! What makes it even better is that it will be led by a genius-level businessman with a track record of success.

Anyone who has ever seen what some of these departments actually accomplish would be shocked at how little actually gets done. They look busy. They can demonstrate a lot of activity but real, measurable accomplishments are slim to none. It's not just big agencies. It's little ones too.

My county pays for a veteran services office. It's staffed by the laziest, most unproductive guy you can imagine. Yeah... He does some good things, but 90% of his day is spent sitting around doing nothing. The amount of work does not justify a full time employee. He probably only is needed for about 4 hours a week; not 40.

Another awful bureaucracy is our emergency services office. I'm not sure if it's Federal or State, but they literally do nothing of value. The few times we could have used their help: tornado damage, forest fire and large fuel spill they proved inept and useless. It's so bad that local law enforcement doesn't even involve them any more when something happens.

My oldest who is a school system very big boss says the dept of education is needed otherwise it will be chaotic with every state doing their own thing and that may not be a good thing for kids.

I'd rather see the pre-DOE days of state-run chaos when students actually got an education. Ever since the creation of the DOE and Fed central control of education, the quality of education has deteriorated significantly.

If temporary that's a good thing. If they eliminate even one worthless agency, like education, and return that back to the states, it would be worth it.

Nothing is temporary in the government. Once this gets going they will have to hire staff and our money will be paying for all of it and it will never go away. For proof, Trump is appointing a head of the DHS. That organization needs to be eliminated yet Trump is going to keep it.

It does need to be eliminated, but that's easier said than done. Put someone in who you trust as an insurance policy in case you can't eliminate it.

Perhaps race based highering will end under DJT? Government hiring of incompetent niqqers, ONLY because they are of blak afreakin descent has resulted in the least qualified people filling positions that they simply cannot perform adequately in. The government tossed the "Peter Principal" out the window in their AA, WOKE, frenzy to adhere to percentages of minorities in government jobs. When being blak is the only qualification....
