You can dump an entire mag into a 13 foot alligator and it will do nothing to stop it unless you hit it right in its golf ball size brain. These damn things have been around for over 100million years. Best not to go where they are.

Mating season for many animals, Dolphins included, you see two, three males after a female, get out of the water if you don't want a few broken ribs. Gators are all over here, we have invaded their territory. Sanibel Island on gators: https://mysanibel.com/m/newsflash/home/detail/225

When my daughter lived in Tallahassee we would keep the grandkids for a couple of months during the summer. We would meet her at a halfway point to do the kid swap. One year we met at a park on the Suwanee River that rented canoes and kayaks and had a nice beach when the water was down.
When we went to the water we saw a young couple swimming and having a good time. I said to them 'y'all ain't from around here are ya?' The man answered ' No, we're from New York'. I replied 'Then you probably didn't see that gator across the river". "WHAT? WHERE?' I pointed to a shaded spot in the water that only the eyes and nostrils of the gator were visible. The gator was about 25' from where they were swimming but probably was only about 6' long so I doubt that he was going to mess with them. They didn't know that and tore out of the water. We got the biggest laugh watching them and their 'near death experience'.

Ah heck in Lake Alice we used to sit just a few feet from them to read, but the real big one were hauled away. My son grabbed one IMG_5674.jpg so my grandson could play with it.

Hahahahaha.......Well, they have managed to survive so they must be doing something right. We have Alligators and Salt Water Crocodiles, both, crocs are mean.

There was a fatal bear attack in Florida several days ago. That surprised me because Florida black bears are small.

Tardigrades go back to 600 million years and they are a tiny little creature that can survive almost anything.

That's for sure. Momma bear will go after the much bigger male if he get near her cubs.
