URGENT WARNING: Nepal Faces New Disaster as Barrier Lake Nears BREACH POINT
URGENT WARNING: Nepal Faces New Disaster as Barrier Lake Nears BREACH POINT
The glacier falling did NOT cause this disaster. A whole section of the mountain bedrock collapsed taking the glacier with it. Now the disaster built lake at the mountain collapse is being held by a nature built damn. Rain may be coming adding water to the lake and their is a 'chance' the damn could collapse sending more water and debris down the valley.
Get ready for a possible part two to this mess.

This disaster in Nepal is way more common than I realized. If you Google similar disasters they have occurred numerous times around the globe.

The videos that are coming out literally defy human comprehension on the scale of this disaster. About the only way you could describe the flood waters is that they had explosive force when they encountered an object and most objects that were in the way of the water lasted barely seconds if that before they gave way and disappeared. Apparently, there were some warnings to people along the river that a flood was coming but it had been dry for so long they didn't take the warning seriously. They will not be making that mistake again anytime soon.

Yes they are as tough as nails with the best mountain rescue units in the entire world. Nepal politely told every country that asked if they needed help to please we thank you but no our men can handle it. Handle it they are if you watch those guys in action holy sheet they don't play.
China is making complete asses out of themselves and I mean complete. Their rescue is walking in line across 'packed hard mud' banging on it yelling if anyone is under it. Holy sheet they got to be kidding.
Look at about 1:43 of the video. Their banging on solid packed frigging mud 'concrete' yelling for people inside. WTF over the news is all over it asking if their frigging nuts. Imagine pouring your concrete driveway and tapping on it to see if your pet dog is in it.
