    Florida guys.....

How are you doing. Are you hunkering down and have plenty of supplies on hand.
We have met the enemy and he is us.

We're as prepared as we can be. We won't get hit as hard as central Flarda but I am sure the electricity will be out for days if not a week. The generator will keep our freezer and fridges running. My wife has made some loaves of sour dough bread and boiled some eggs. Tomorrow we'll cook a big pot of beans. Medications up to date. Armed and ready.

Yup same as my brother RTO is saying were as ready as we can be. We both are sort of prepper nerds so not a lot to do when we get the storm warnings. Around 70 gals. of gas 2 generators lot of canned and frozen food. Plenty of batteries and flashlights an old BB gun with a box of ammo. Water? I guess if one is in a dry A.O. to buy water makes sense. But here their is water all over the dang place.
Hell its raining just get some plastic and a clean bucket, bowl whatever make a funnel and fill the container up in no time with nice rainwater. I keep water purification pills plus those life straws? I think they call them.
Two big trees next to this shack that might come down so I may go a few houses up to my buddies place or to the local VFW. After action report to follow.

I don’t expect much here but just in case I rolled my shutters on my sliding glass doors and the large picture window by the front, I paid for doing that yesterday now I’m in a lot of pain but I got it done…wife got mad at me. We may get some 50-60 mph gusts. Generator is ready to go on line if we lose power.

You know better than that. I have a hernia by my navel now for not following doctor's orders. I'm worried that Tim is going over to Daytona surfing and damaging some of his bionic repairs.

Up here in North Florida, waiting on Milton to pay a visit. Hopefully he is all blown out before he gets here. Prayers for those in the Tampa area in central Florida. It's going to be a tough night.

After the storm has passed, I finally got my 3kw military genset running reliably, so it will run the fridge & freezer plus a few lights running on diesel fuel rather than gasoline for a change. If it goes wonky, I will just switch back to the old gas unit & its limited fuel supply.

I wonder how long the power will be out this time? Helene knocked it out for 4 days, but the temps are cooler outside, so a/c is not needed. If humidity is an issue, the dehumidifier will run on the generator without overloading it. Prayers sent to the folks in west central Florida as this is not going to be a cake walk tonite.

Kid in Port St. Lucie came out all right. Not everyone in their area did, though. Tornadoes ripped through and killed at least 4 people. Knowing media, probably more than that got killed. I guess one hit where they go grocery shopping, too.

They only lost some tree limbs.

I also have a kid in Port Saint Lucie, I spoke with him last night he said a tornado took out the police officer station.

My brother in west palm had a close encounter with a tornado in his neighborhood but his house is ok.
