Biden admin working to effectively ban cigarettes

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is moving forward with a regulatory rule in the final days of the Biden administration that would effectively ban cigarettes currently on the market in favor of products with lower nicotine levels, which could end up boosting business for cartels operating on the black market, an expert tells Fox News Digital.

"Biden's ban is a gift with a bow and balloons to organized crime cartels with it, whether it's cartels, Chinese organized crime, or Russian mafia. It's going to keep America smoking, and it's going to make the streets more violent," Rich Marianos, former assistant director of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the current chair of the Tobacco Law Enforcement Network, told Fox News Digital of the proposal.

A proposed FDA rule could effectively ban cigarettes currently on the market in favor of products with less nicotine. Cartels running the black market could benefit, an expert warns.

I quit smoking pipe after they cut my heart open, but my mother smoked for 72 years of her life and died of old age, nothing in the lungs. This guy want to ban gas water heaters, fuel, nicotine, booze...like everyone who has an idea and proposes it to him he'll sign it into law. He is totally brainless, he shouldn't be there anymore.
Sometimes I wish I had a Harry Potter's wand and make people go up into smoke.

Cartels probably paid Joe's administration for his

Interestingly, the goal has been to reduce nicotine in tobacco. Which of course, results in more cigarettes being smoked. Maybe we have this all wrong. Maybe we should increase the nicotine levels so people smoke fewer cigs. It is not the nicotine that causes cancer.

Does not effect me in any case. I keep a humidor of cigars, and have for forty years. During family get togethers & the holidays we who smoke go outside to the deck or porch in warm weather. I smoke a cigar out of a travel case with those who smoke. I might smoke two/three cigars a year. I just kind of puff....not a big inhaler. I grew up in a family where there were smokers. The smell of a burning ceegar brings back childhood memories.

People want what they can't have. Spain and Thailand among other countries I would venture a bet. I could walk in a pharmacy and literally get any pain meds I wanted. Within reason you did not want to be overdoing it or they would question you. Oxycontin, Lori-tabs? Yes sir how many did you need?
Minor drug problems with the usual suspects but NOTHING like our western controlled restricted countries. Most all the youth I met in those countries did not want drugs they wanted to work. Pot smoking? Yes pot available and the kids smoked but no streets lined with people drugging and dying like here.

I was part of the phoney war on drugs .
Senators and Congressmen get rich on that war .
The people I worked with died in it .

Prohibitions do nothing to stop desire .
Prohibition only makes the supply illegal ,
and therefore , a contraband to be sold for profit
